Leamington Lifestyle at the Wildwood Oaks

Here is an overview of the attractions that make the "Leamington Lifestyle" so unique in Ontario.

The warm climate here, in the most southern part of Ontario, gives our area opportunities you won't find anywhere else in Canada.  But there is much more to it than a friendly climate.

The "Leamington Lifestyle" includes boating, beaches, music festivals, wineries, golfing and more. Here's what the locals say about why they love this city so much: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y55OgjTXcp0

Golfers have their choice of 3 local clubs:  There's the Erie Shores Golf and Country Club, The Talbot Trail Golf Club and the Orchard View Golf Course.

Boaters love marina on beautiful Lake Erie. It has 292 slips, fully serviced and protected by an outer break-wall. Local and international boaters enjoy overnight security, a boaters' lounge, private showers, a large patio for private parties, pump-out station and complimentary high speed WIFI. It's also home to the Leamington Yacht Club.

Fishermen, we'll see you at the Annual Walleye Fishing Derby in July.

If music stirs you soul, in August we host the annual 3 day Kingsville Folk Festival at Lakeside Park.

And don't miss the "Sip & Savour Experience" at Leamington's premier food and drink festival in August. When it comes to sipping, did you know that Canada's first commercially successful winery, Vin Villa started over 150 years ago on Pelee Island? Today there are over 17 unique wineries in the emerging Essex County wine region. Visit Epicwineries.com for discounts, promotions and a map to all the wineries.

Wine tours are available and they are a great way to get to know the area and its wineries. Here's a look at Trip Advisor's reviews on the top winery attractions in the Leamington area. The island can be reached from a ferry that leaves regularly from the terminal at the  foot of Erie St. in Leamington.

Nature lovers won't want to miss Canada's most ecologically diverse national park,  Point Pelee National Park. You can cycle, paddle or hike to experience nature like never before. Each spring you can view flocks of migratory birds. Summer brings sun lovers to our sandy beaches. In autumn, thrill to the sight of waves of vivid Monarch butterflies. And in winter, wander snowy trails past ice-cloaked trees.

That's just a quick glimpse of our local attractions!
